Your adventure begins in downtown Oaxaca, where you'll meet your guide and start pedaling along a protected, tree-lined bike path. This mostly flat section is the perfect warm-up as the city gradually gives way to farmland, rolling hills, and the peaceful landscapes of rural Oaxaca.

Leaving the pavement behind, the ride continues onto quiet country roads and cross-country trails winding through agave fields, open valleys, and traditional farming communities. Along the way you'll experience a side of Oaxaca that most visitors never discover, far from the busy tourist areas.

One of the highlights of the ride is Teotitlán del Valle, one of Oaxaca's most celebrated Zapotec villages. Famous for its centuries-old weaving tradition, the town is home to families who continue producing beautiful handwoven wool rugs using techniques passed down through generations.
